Brian MacDonald holds a BFA and MFA in theatre, and is a member of Actors' Equity association who has worked as an actor, director, and teacher, in both New York and the DMV area since 2009. As a classical actor, Brian has performed in numerous productions from regional theaters to Broadway, working along side preeminent artists such as Al Pacino, David Harbour, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jesse L. Martin, Lily Rabe, Stacy Keach, Michael Kahn, Robert Falls, and Daniel Sullivan.

 

As an educator, Brian is the Theatre Program Director at Hood College, as well as a lecturer with the Catholic University of America. He also works as the Director of Performing Arts at Friends Meeting School, teaching theatre and music classes, and directing productions for grades K-12.

RECENT NEWS: Brian will be producing and directing an immersive adaptation of Shakespeare's Timon of Athens, to be performed this summer as part of the Frederick Shakespeare Festival.
