Brian MacDonald is a member of Actors' Equity association who has worked as an actor, director, and teacher, in both New York and the DMV area since 2009. As a classical actor, Brian has performed in numerous productions from regional theaters to Broadway, working along side preeminent artists such as Al Pacino, Lily Rabe, David Harbour, Stacy Keach, Michael Kahn, Robert Falls, and Daniel Sullivan.


As a teacher, Brian is currently a lecturer with the Catholic University of America, providing courses in acting, as well as working as an academic advisor. In the upcoming year he will also be serving as the visiting Theatre Program Director at Hood College, in addition to teaching courses in acting and Shakespearian literature. He also works as the Director of Performing Arts at Friends Meeting School, teaching theatre and music classes, and directing productions for grades K-12.

Upcoming: Brian will once again be a part of the summer Frederick Shakespeare Festival in 2022, appearing in both Hamlet and The Merry Wives of Windsor. In the fall, Brian will direct an immersive production of Shakespeare's Timon of Athens at Hood College.
